The ART Village
As the OC Great Park continues to grow you can expect to see more and more wonderful things happening there. If you have not yet had a chance to visit the Farmers Market, which is every 4th Sunday from 10am-2pm, then be sure to come and check it out this Sunday as it is featuring the monthly ART Village.
The ART Village is a new project that the Great Park has taken on. The 4th Sunday of every month local artists come to display and sell their creations. The first event was held last month and there was a great turnout with 15 artists displaying their works. Some of the artists showed great promise and even sold a couple of pieces. This Sunday, August 26th, the ART Village will be honored to present established artists such as Alysia Cerene, a modern art painter, and Leila Hashemi, a multi-media artist. There will even be some new comers and it will be quite a creative event.
An additional treat for all visiting the Great Park every Sunday is face painting by ARTovator. ARTovator is the OC's best and most professional face painting service. All their artists follow strict hygiene standards and create beautiful designs on children and adults. The owner, Tracy Kiggen, is the most sought after face painter in Southern California, and if you're lucky enough to find her there then you might get her to paint your little ones.
Please make sure that you stop by to get your cultural fix, plus you can do some veggie shopping at the same time. There are also a bunch of food trucks stationed there every Sunday - my personal favorite is the Calbi truck with it's Korean-Mexican blend of delights eg. A Kimchee, Cheese & Tofu Quesadilla.
