Three's A Crowd (Hopefully)

So yesterday was 10-2-10. A cool day to start a meetup group? Oh yes! It definitely was for my sister and I. We decided that our "tribe" is not as together as we would like them to be, so we are going to create fun events for people from South Africa, New Zealand, and Australia. Why? Well, since South Africa is our place of birth it will always hold a special place in our hearts; and we felt we should share our experiences of US life with other expats; and there is already a similar idea in San Diego and Los Angeles, but not in Orange County.

Coming up with the name for the group was quite an effortless experience, as my father had some input and suggested "Tri-Nations", to represent the 3 major countries above. The final result: SoCal Tri-Nations where Aussies, Kiwis, and Safs, can wear their tribal colors, skirts, headdresses, etc., and not feel weird for doing so. Of course, all cultures and nationalities are welcome too, as long as you don't mind eating ostrich assholes. Lol! Just kidding - we only do that when Anthony Bourdain comes to town.
